Colorful Sea is not perfect, but it's like my first vignette in the Reiwa era... I hope this song can inspire more people with mental illness and everyone struggling with exhaustion, and also hope that those who are happy can purely feel the joyful atmosphere of the song.

The lyrics depict a young girl's dreamlike inner world.
Born in Nansha District, Guangzhou, China, she struggles with serious mental illness, yet longs daily to "escape reality."
After long-term school leave, one day she decided:
"I will leave, move forward."
Using her part-time earnings, she set off alone to the Arctic to admire the scenery.
She quietly left home, boarded her second-hand sailboat, and sailed offshore.
Near the Bering Strait, a sudden storm stranded her on a deserted island.
There, only an elk (moose) appeared.
She survived daily by melting ice with her body heat, while the elk mysteriously brought her fish.
...But she could not accept this kindness, always feeling it was "charity."
She fled reality but feared being "saved."
Even the lighthouse's light was rejected, sinking her deeper into darkness.
—Eventually, barely alive, she was rescued by a 2D character.
Upon waking, it was all a dream before her journey began.
She crossed out the travel plan in her diary
And sighed, returning to the drifting life she knows.
About the lyrics of "Colorful Sea"
"Colorful Sea" is a work consciously created to be "imperfect."
When singing this song, I never thought about "singing well," but rather kept thinking about how to make the song sound "incomplete."
During recording, I avoided high notes and deliberately sang with a sluggish, sleepy, exhausted voice.
Instead, in the arrangement, I boldly fused the comedic feel of Japanese sitcoms, the dynamics of symphonic music, and the roughness of rock.
Each instrument part was infused with completely different emotions.
This ultimately highlighted the protagonist's complex inner world.
Various emotions clash yet somehow harmoniously coexist.
—This is precisely the root of the "masked smile" in this song.
